Garden expo call for stallholders

West Melton Garden Club is calling for potential stallholders at its giant gardening expo next December to get in touch with them now.

Club member Anne Finch said the club was seeking expressions of interest from businesses who may be interested in having a stall at the event.

“We currently have a number already very interested, including saffron, nuts, truffles, garden sculptures, etc, but would like to hear from anyone else out there who we may not be aware of,” she said.

The expo will be held on Sunday, December 1 at the West Melton Community Centre. Anne Finch said the aim of the expo is to showcase what she describes as a wonderful and widespread variety of interesting businesses and producers we have in Selwyn and neighbouring regions.

“We are well aware that Canterbury area has many passionate gardeners who enjoy sharing their skills and also gaining more knowledge. We will have demonstrations, guest speakers and plant sales, along with sales of products from stallholders. This way, we hope many others will benefit from this event by learning new skills, solving problems by asking the experts, do some Christmas shopping or simply enjoying the atmosphere,” she said.

Interested stallholders can contact Anne by email: or call her on 0274 365 156.
