Socialising made easy

Celebrating the end of another year is made easy when you take the opportunity to join friends, family, colleagues or clients for a meal and socialising opportunities at the various local clubs, restaurants, galleries and cafes.

The Pedal Pusher at Rolleston is the place to ‘escape the race’ and is a nod to the days of cycling in the local area dating back to 1885.

Known as a great place to meet friends and enjoy a small plate, salad, pub classics including steaks, fish and chips and homemade pies, as well as an array of deserts with children’s meals available, the Pedal Pusher team, aim to ensure you enjoy a beverage and tasty fare as you unwind and let the world roll on by.

The Hornby Workingmen’s Club has various meals available at the Club Cafe and back by popular demand are burger Fridays, along with Mexican, Thai and Indian nights. Also available at the cafe is a vast selection of cabinet food through to full sized plated meals with daily specials, dreamy desserts and a great atmosphere to relax in.
The club has a large function hall that is perfect for hosting weddings, conferences, birthdays or any special occasion you wish to share with friends and family. An extensive menu selection is available catering for all dietary requirements with full bar facilities and a beverage list that can be tailored to your specific needs and to help make Christmas easy they also have a Christmas buffet available.

The Selwyn Gallery in Darfield is run voluntarily by the Malvern Community Arts Council and boasts a rich 20-year history supporting the arts whilst providing a unique and accessible experience for locals and visitors alike.

Visit the gallery to view the various exhibitions including ceramics, paintings, photography, printmaking, pottery and glassware showcasing an exciting selection of contemporary local art at affordable prices.

The Swamp Tavern at Islington is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee and beverages, and caters for children, group functions, parties and takeaway meals. With an outdoor seating area also available it is a good place to stop for a break whilst travelling, and if you have an occasion coming up off-site, the staff at The Swamp can cater for your needs and deliver. The Swamp is known to be a great place to enjoy a meal and a drink whilst catching up with friends and family with a courtesy van available.
