CentreStage Rolleston’s debut show at the Rolleston School Hall, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, has lived up to its high expectations say organisers.
The executive team behind the scenes said they had been absolutely delighted with the number of people from in and around Selwyn who attended the show during its two-week season.
The show had its final night on Saturday.
Executive member, Courtney Hyde, said the audience reaction and reviews were amazing.
“The cast of 80 were joined by a superb band and crew, which pushed the number of people involved too well beyond 120. Many of whom got their first taste of community theatre and are now hooked.
“Now they are looking forward to bringing our next event to the district, which will be Peter Pan in July 2019,” she said.
Auditions will be called in March.
“CentreStage had a vision to bring a community of people together that could share in a passion of the performing arts, and they really have achieved that,” Courtney Hyde said.
