Body and soul expo

An opportunity to learn more about natural healing and wellness techniques and stock the Christmas stocking with unique gifts are features of Selwyn’s first-ever body and soul wellness expo.

The one-day expo at Lemonwood Grove School next Sunday will have something for everyone says organiser, Sarah Emma.

“The idea behind the expo was to have as many different techniques and treatments as we could get to encourage people to try an alternative or something new to help with stress, aches and pains, and to encourage healthier thinking and emotional wellness.”

The expo will have 39 stalls covering a vast array of natural healing techniques.

“Often people have heard of a technique or a treatment but don’t know much about it, so here is a wonderful opportunity to find out more or to have a taster session. We have tried to use as many local practitioners as possible, so that if people are drawn to have more of something they experience at the expo they don’t have far to travel,” Ms Emma said.

The experiences Sarah Emma speaks of include everything from crystal healing and reiki to online development courses and nutritional advice.

“Most stalls will also have products for sale, which will make wonderful and unique Christmas gifts,” Ms Emma said.

Only limited EFTPOS is available, so Sarah Emma recommends visitors bring cash if they want to stock up for Christmas.

The Selwyn Body and Soul Expo is on from 11am to 4pm, Sunday, November 11 at Lemonwood Grove School. Admission is free.
