Grandparents Day

On the last day of term, it was ‘Bring a Grandparent’ to school day at West Melton Primary School and students served up a special morning tea, which also helped to raise funds for Eradicating Child Labour. The school held a special assembly to acknowledge and celebrate the larger school whanau as part of Grandparents’ Day. The school’s promotions officer, Rita Spadoni, said their current inquiry (learning) theme is Connections build relationships and this special day centred around relationships and connections. “It was wonderful to see the relationships, love and connections with family members and for our children to show off their learning and environments. They were so proud of their work and achievements.”
