Lincoln returns to form
by Kent Caddick
Lincoln and Greenpark A notched up big wins in the opening games of round two of the Selwyn premier netball competition.
Southbridge B, newly promoted for round two of the competition, learnt the hard way about playing in Selwyn netball’s top-flight competition, being thumped 78–22 by competition leaders Greenpark A.
Lincoln was also in commanding form, brushing aside the challenge of Greenpark B 70–47 to get the defending champions back on track after two losses in round one. The two defeats were the first losses handed out to the Lincoln side in more than two years.
Broadfield was made to work a bit harder in their clash with Southbridge A but eventually ran out comfortable winners 60–40.
In the Premier two division relegated West Melton showed some steel but came up short in its clash with Broadfield B, going down 46–50.
Rolleston was efficient in its 63–32 win over Prebbleton, while Lincoln B was too strong for Burnham, running out winners 57–31.
