KidsFest is returning to Selwyn for the July school holidays, with bookings now open.

Around 70 events will be held in Selwyn as part of KidsFest between July 7 and 21.
Selwyn District Council’s senior events and recreation adviser, Dave Tippett, said KidsFest has a wide variety of exciting events and activities for kids in the upcoming winter school holidays.

“Our events usually book out pretty early, so we advise parents to book early to ensure families can go to their preferred events.

“This year we’ve got some new events such as Explore Parkour and Sport Suzie’s Super Silly Circus Show, but we’ve also got some favourites from last year such as High Ropes Challenge, Selwyn Kids’ Market and fun water activities at the Selwyn Aquatic Centre with aqua volleyball and handball, inflatables and paddle boats.

“The Selwyn Libraries are also hosting a range of activities including Map It, Kahuna Kidsongs and Game On,” Mr Tippett said.

Last year more than 1,200 children attended Selwyn District Council organised KidsFest events.
