Pets and produce set to compete

The 119th Malvern Agricultural and Pastoral Association’s annual show will once again have plenty of competitions end entertainment for all.
A number of special highlight events will be held throughout the day at Sheffield Domain for this year’s show on Saturday, March 24.
Man’s Best Friend: Enter your four-legged best friend into the Dog Section at the Malvern A&P Show. There are eight different classes, as well as a best dressed class and great prizes. Enter at firstname.lastname@example.org or on the day by 10.30am. Judging starts at 11am.
Don’t forget to enter your favourite pet lamb, sheep or goat in the Malvern Show.
Classes for the under sixes, six to eight years and nine years and over. There is also a class for best dressed pet. Entry fee is $1. Enter by email email@example.com or enter on the day before 9.45am, judging starts at 10am sharp.
The Crazy Vegetable Race at the Malvern A&P Show. Create and decorate a vegetable vehicle (wheels are required), enter on the day and race your creation down the ramp for some great prizes.
Entries need to be in by 9.45am, judging is at 10.00am and racing starts at 10.30am.
Some new events for horse riders at this year’s Malvern A&P Show.
Rev and Ride: a timed event with one or two competitors — jump your horse around a course, tag your team member who will sack jump over to a waiting vehicle, which they will then drive through an obstacle course to the finish. Time faults given for refusals, rails down and cones knocked over. Fastest time wins. Entry fee: $10 per team; Prize money: $250: Sponsored by Bassett Agriculture Ltd.
Three Bar Jumping: A knock out three jump event for horses and ponies. Entry fee $5; Prize Money $150 Horses and $150 Ponies.
Pairs Jumping: This will be run at the completion of the hunter rounds. Entry fee $10; Prize Money: Winner takes all.
