Motoring heaven in Rolleston

Around six thousand people attended Selwyn’s inaugural Motor Fest and Family Fun Day held in Rolleston over the weekend.

The event, which raised money for the Selwyn Central St John ambulance service, attracted over 850 cars, trucks and motorcycles of all shapes and sizes.

Craig Watson from the event organising committee said they were over the moon with the support they got from sponsors and volunteers for the first event.

“Once everything is tallied up we will be sitting down and doing a debrief, and to see if there is a willingness to run the event again.”

The Record photographers joined the thousands who wandered the grounds savouring some of the magnificent machinery on display.
