Crafts and more

The annual Prebbleton Crafts and More Market is on again this month.
This is the fifth year the annual market has been held. Any profits from the market are donated to the Prebbleton Heritage group.
Founder Trish Clothier said the market originated after she had attended a couple of outdoor markets selling her chocolate bouquets.
“But as they were very much dependent on fine weather, I thought, why not arrange a market myself, and indoors, and with heaps of help from my ever so patient husband, the project began.”
The inaugural Prebbleton Crafts and More Market was held in the Prebbleton School Hall but was then moved to the Prebbleton Hall, which Trish said gave it more visibility being on a main road. She said with nearly 40 stalls the market was a chance for people to do some shopping in a relaxed environment.
“It’s a chance to buy Christmas gifts, gifts for any occasion or gifts for themselves, and enjoy a cuppa and a tasty nibble.
“Prebbleton Heritage will once again have food, tea and coffee on offer in the supper room of the hall and there will also be a coffee cart, food and a gelato van.
“There will a wide variety of craft items including embroidery, quilting, dolls’ clothing, wooden toys, soaps, candles, jewellery, art works, children’s clothing and much more.”
The fifth annual Prebbleton Crafts and More Market will be held at the Prebbleton Hall in Springs Road on Saturday, November 25, between 10am and 4pm.
