IPort continues to grow

Development of Rolleston’s $500 million IPort business park is pushing ahead.
Developers of IPort, the Carter Group, have just released eight sections of prime commercial and industrial land in the 122 hectare development which is being built adjacent to the Selwyn District Council’s Izone industrial park.
IPort director Tim Carter said the release of eight sections of prime commercial and industrial land offers an exciting opportunity for smaller operators to take advantage of being located in a large-scale business park.
“The smaller lots we are releasing are a unique opportunity for purchasers who haven’t considered a commercial development before. We expect there will be a lot of interest from businesses wanting to expand and streamline operations into a new facility and to take advantage of being located in a large-scale business park.”
Selwyn District Mayor Sam Broughton said IPort is an exciting and positive development for the region.
“It’s a continuation of the good work council has put into growing residential, commercial and industrial areas around Rolleston to provide capacity for growth and expansion of the township, providing jobs for those living here and places for people to shop,” Mayor Broughton said.
