Temporary closure for fuel stop

Allied Petroleum’s fuel stop in Sheffield is to close temporarily for at least two months to allow a revamp of its facilities.

Brett Haldane, petroleum division marketing manager for Allied Petroleum, said in order to accommodate the significant construction works involved, a forecourt closure is required.

“The building project is expected to run for around 10 weeks, and we look forward to welcoming customers back onto the forecourt around mid-June,” Mr Haldane said.

“The upgrade will involve demolishing the existing building on site so as to increase the size of the forecourt area while ensuring improved vehicle access in and out. “New equipment is being installed and, alongside petrol and diesel, a new product ‘Alliedblue’, an exhaust fluid needed for an increasing number of modern diesel vehicles, is being introduced.”

He said the site will temporarily cease trading from Monday April 3.

“During the closure petrol and diesel is available from Allied’s Darfield fuel stop, which operates 24/7, and accepts credit card and eftpos payment.”
