Burnham’s park picnic

Burnham residents turned out in their droves for the community’s Picnic in the Park day last week.
While the weather was a little chilly it didn’t deter local families from taking advantage of the entertainment on offer and a chance to catch up with neighbours.
The Burnham Reserve played host to the event which is part of the Selwyn District Council’s Picnic in the Park programme, and there was plenty for all to do with face painting, crazy bikes, clowns and entertainment.
The Picnic in the Park events have been held all around the district during summer as part of the council’s Summer in Selwyn programme, which also includes Music on the Green events. The final Picnic in the Park event will be held in Prebbleton on Wednesday.
