Rocking Rolleston reserve

by Anonymous Author

Rolleston residents rocked the reserve recently with the first of a series of Music on the Green concerts being held around the district.

A small but enthusiastic crowd descended on Rolleston Reserve to enjoy the music, and dance the afternoon away, while the younger ones for whom the music wasn’t the focus, the bouncy castles provided an ideal escape.

It was a special afternoon for the Hamilton family from Rolleston with Grandparents Kathleen and Alan arriving from England to spend time with their new grandson Harry. The event is one in a series of concerts to be held around Selwyn in the coming weeks with more Music on the Green concerts planned for Leeston (March 12) and Lincoln (March 19). Lincoln will also be rocking out on Saturday, March 4, with the Selwyn Sounds concert, which will feature legendary Kiwi rockers Mi-Sex, Jordan Luck and Sharon O’Neill along with chanteuses Annie Crummer, Margaret Urlich and Debbie Harwood.
