The Leeston Domain played host to what was the biggest turnout this summer for the Selwyn District Council’s Picnic in the Park programme.

The Picnic in the Park events have been held all around the district during summer, but warm weather and clear skies had local families out in force for the event in Leeston late last week.

Clown and balloon sculptor Adam Allsorts proved a real hit with the young ones, while parents joined their children to tackle some of cycle creations of Pedalmania.

Picnic in the Park events are being run as part of the Selwyn District Council’s Summer in Selwyn programme, which uns from January to April.

The final Picnic in the Park event will be held in Prebbleton on March 15.
